Description
Getting a multi-driver PA stack to sum cleanly is where most rigs fall apart — the MAX-X3 is built to solve exactly that. This 2-way stereo/3-way mono crossover uses state-variable 4th-order Linkwitz-Riley filters at 24dB per octave, keeping phase relationships tight through the crossover region so your highs, mids, and lows arrive at the audience coherent rather than smeared. For engineers running churches, clubs, concert halls, or contracted install work, that translates to a tighter, more predictable coverage pattern night after night.
Layered on top of the crossover section is BBE’s full-function fourth-generation Sonic Maximizer, adding the harmonic clarity and punch BBE is known for without reaching for extra EQ. Low-cut subsonic filters guard your low-frequency drivers from damaging content, and phase inversion switching gives you another tool for dialing in driver alignment on the fly. With servo-balanced XLR inputs alongside 1/4″ I/O, the MAX-X3 slots into rider-friendly signal chains and delivers over 115dB of dynamic range for headroom that stays clean under pressure.
- 2-way stereo / 3-way mono crossover with fourth-generation Sonic Maximizer
- Linkwitz-Riley filters, 24dB/octave, for accurate driver summing
- Crossover frequency range: 250Hz–6kHz (low-high)
- Servo-balanced XLR and 1/4″ inputs; 1/4″ unbalanced outputs
- 30Hz, 12dB/octave low-cut subsonic filters for LF driver protection
- Phase inversion switching; over 115dB dynamic range
- Frequency response 20Hz–25kHz; THD under 0.05%; S/N greater than 95dB
