Description
Re-amping is how top engineers turn a flat DI track into a living, breathing guitar or bass tone after the fact, and the Radial ProRMP makes that trick accessible to any studio setup. This fully passive unit takes a pre-recorded balanced signal from your mixer or interface and converts it to a hi-z output that your amp or pedal chain expects, so you can chase tones without asking the player to track another take.
At the heart of the ProRMP is a custom-wound transformer that handles the low-z to hi-z conversion while also galvanically isolating the circuit. That isolation is what keeps ground loops, buzz and hum out of your signal path, a common headache when routing between recording gear and guitar amps. A front-panel level control lets you dial in the output to match whatever amp or effects unit you’re feeding, and a ground lift switch is on hand if noise still creeps in.
Radial builds the ProRMP the same way they build the rest of their signal chain gear: tough. The enclosure is 14-gauge steel with a welded I-beam book-end frame that shields the internal PC board and solder joints from knocks and cable strain, and a full-bottom no-slip pad keeps it planted while also preventing contact with amp chassis bolts that can introduce their own ground loops.
- Passive re-amping for guitar, bass, keys, electric violin, voice and percussion
- Custom transformer for low-z to hi-z conversion and hum-free isolation
- Onboard level control plus ground lift switch
- Welded 14-gauge steel I-beam chassis with no-slip base
- XLR in, 1/4″ out — simple signal path from recorder to amp
Whether you’re re-tracking guitars through a different rig or hunting for new textures on vocals and percussion, the ProRMP gives you a reliable, roadworthy way to get there.
