Description
The Peavey RX 14 is a 1.4″ compression driver engineered for touring and installed PA systems that need reliable top-end reach without sacrificing SPL. Its commercially pure titanium diaphragm pairs with an edge-wound ribbon voice coil on a high-temp Kapton bobbin, giving the driver the durability to handle sustained high-frequency demands night after night.
- Throat diameter: .938″ (23.8 mm), 1.4″ nominal size
- Nominal impedance: 8 Ohms; minimum impedance 7.1 Ohms; DC resistance 6.8 Ohms
- Power handling: 120W peak / 60W program / 30W continuous (1 kHz–20 kHz)
- Sensitivity: 104 dB SPL, 1W at 1m on-axis on a 90° H x 45° V horn
- Frequency response: 1.5 kHz to 20 kHz
- Recommended crossover: 1,800 Hz at 12 dB/octave (2,000 Hz lowest recommended)
- Flux density: 11,500 gauss (1.15T) for strong motor control
- Voice coil diameter: 1.4″ (34.4 mm)
- Dimensions: 3.54″ (90 mm) diameter x 2.40″ (61 mm) depth
- Standard 1 3/8″–18 threaded horn coupling
- Net weight: 33.6 oz.; shipping weight: 38 oz.
With a 30% nominal efficiency rating and a 12 dB/octave crossover recommendation, the RX 14 is built to integrate cleanly into two-way and three-way PA cabinets where high-frequency output and coverage consistency matter most on a rider. It’s a straightforward drop-in for shops building or servicing horn-loaded systems, and its standard thread coupling keeps horn-swap and rig-scaling decisions simple.
