Description
The Bose 802 Series IV Panaray earned its place on riders and in fixed installs by solving coverage problems other cabinets can’t. Its eight 4.5-inch full-range drivers work together in Bose’s Articulated Array configuration, throwing sound across a broad 120° x 100° pattern with no tweeters or crossover networks in the signal path. Fewer transition points means fewer failure points and consistently clear vocal reproduction, whether you’re covering a house of worship, ballroom, or outdoor stage.
Because the 802 reaches down to 52 Hz, many systems can skip supplemental subwoofers for moderate-level, full-range program material — simplifying the rig and cutting the number of boxes needed to cover a room. With a calculated peak SPL of up to 123 dB and long-term power handling up to 300 W (AES), it has the headroom for serious sound reinforcement and foreground music duty without babysitting.
Built for the realities of touring and permanent installs alike, the enclosure is molded from mineral-reinforced HDPE and carries an IEC 529 IP55 weather rating, so it holds up whether it lives indoors or takes on the elements outdoors. Eight M8 threaded inserts across the back, bottom, and sides give riggers flexible mounting options, and dual parallel-wired NL4 Speakon connectors keep signal routing straightforward.
