Description
The PV 15PM handles monitor duty with a dedicated Class D amp for each driver, splitting 200 watts between a 15″ woofer (2 3/8″ voice coil, neodymium magnet) and a 1.4″ titanium 14T compression driver. Because the amps are matched precisely to their drivers, the box stays light enough to load in solo while still pushing peak SPL up to 120 dB — plenty of headroom for a busy stage mix.
Under the hood, Peavey built in a few engineering touches that matter more on stage than on a spec sheet: Woofer Servo circuitry keeps low-frequency distortion in check even when the monitor is cranked, and automatic Fletcher-Munson loudness compensation adjusts the tonal balance at lower volumes so vocals and instruments don’t disappear when things get quiet. DDT speaker protection sits on both amp channels, guarding the drivers against the kind of transient abuse that comes with live use.
Hooking it into a monitor rig is straightforward: a combo jack accepts either balanced 1/4″ TRS or XLR mic/line input, and dual 1/4″ phone jacks give you link-out and direct-in routing for chaining additional wedges or feeding a second output.
