Description
When stage plots get tight and patience gets tighter, the Telefunken TDP-2 lets you run two sources through a single reliable box instead of hauling two separate DIs. Each of its independent channels carries the same premium circuitry, so you’re never compromising tone to save space on a crowded stage floor.
At the heart of each channel sits a custom-wound OEP/Carnhill transformer, sourced from the UK and paired with a stripped-down, “less is best” signal path. The result is a naturally warm, harmonically rich low end with clarity up top — the kind of tone that keeps mix engineers and rider-conscious techs happy without any coloring tricks. Every PCB is hand-assembled with through-hole components and gold-plated traces rather than surface-mount parts, giving the connection long-term reliability that matters when a DI sees gig after gig.
High input impedance keeps passive pickups from loading down, while a frequency response of ±2dB from 10 Hz to 40 kHz and low self-noise mean the signal arrives at the console clean and true. Housed in a durable extruded aluminum shell with recessed switches and connectors, the TDP-2 is built to survive load-in, load-out, and everything between. Each channel gets its own -15dB pad and ground lift toggle for quick adaptation to hot signals or ground loop issues on the fly.
Whether you’re feeding a stereo keyboard rig, splitting acoustic and electric signals, or simply consolidating gear for a leaner backline, the TDP-2 covers two channels’ worth of DI duty from a single, rack-friendly unit.
