Description
Ground loops are a rider’s worst enemy, and the Radial Twin-Iso exists to make them disappear. This passive, two-channel, line-level isolator was built specifically for touring PA systems, where multiple consoles, remote line-array towers, and drive racks all need to talk to each other without picking up hum or buzz along the way.
At the heart of the unit sit a pair of Jensen audio transformers per channel, chosen for their transparent signal transfer with virtually no saturation or phase distortion. All I/O runs through balanced XLR connections wired to AES standard (pin-1 ground, pin-2 hot), and each channel gets its own polarity reverse switch so absolute phase stays intact through the entire signal path — a small detail that matters a lot when you’re chasing phase issues across a large rig.
True to Radial form, the chassis is 14-gauge steel with a book-end profile that shields the switches from stage traffic, plus a full-length no-slip bottom pad to keep it planted. Internally, a welded I-beam skeleton keeps the PC board from ever being torqued during transport or install, which cuts down on cold solder joint failures down the line. Need to scale up? Up to eight Twin-Isos fit into a Radial J-Rak using just two rack spaces, making it a practical building block for larger touring inventories.
