Description
Front-of-house engineers need signal chains they don’t have to think twice about, and the Radial ProDI delivers exactly that kind of set-and-forget reliability. This passive direct box houses a custom-wound audio transformer that handles full-range signal without saturating, keeping bass and mid frequencies phase-accurate and clean even at demanding gain stages on the console. That transformer isolation also kills ground-loop hum before it ever reaches the snake, which matters when you’re running long cable runs across a stage or between rooms in a studio.
Built from 14-gauge steel with internal I-beam bracing and a book-end shell design, the ProDI is made to survive load-ins, drops, and the general abuse of touring life without flinching. It stays compact enough to tuck into a DI bag or mount inline near an amp or acoustic instrument, so it won’t clutter a stage plot or crowd a pedal chain.
This is a single-channel unit, ideal for acoustic guitar, bass, or keyboard sources that need a direct feed into a mixer without an amp in between. If a stereo source is on the rider, Radial’s companion ProD2 covers that need, but for straightforward mono DI duty, the ProDI is built to outperform other boxes at its price point.
