Description
When your show depends on backing tracks and keyboard rigs hitting the console without hum, noise, or dropped signal, the Radial ProD8 gives touring and installed systems a dedicated, high-density solution. Packed into a single 19″ rack space, it houses eight fully independent passive DI channels, each built around a custom-wound Radial transformer that stays linear from 20Hz to 18kHz — handling the sharp transients of samplers and drum machines without breaking a sweat. A mu-metal-nickel shield around each transformer keeps outside magnetic interference and phase distortion out of the signal path.
Every channel is designed with live-show redundancy in mind: two 1/4″ inputs (A and B) let you patch a main and a backup source per channel, so a failed keyboard rig or backing track player doesn’t become a stage emergency. Each channel also includes a personal monitor throughput and an effects loop shared between the A and B sources. On the output side, you get a balanced XLR out, a -15dB pad for hot sources, and a ground lift to chase down noise. Polarity is internally switchable via a 180° reverse switch, factory-set with pin 2 hot.
Built for engineers who reconfigure racks on the fly, the ProD8’s rack ears reverse so either the 1/4″ input panel or the XLR output panel can face front, depending on how your rig is wired.
- Eight passive DI channels in a single rackspace
- Redundant main/backup inputs per channel
- Custom Radial transformers, shielded for low interference
- Handles highly dynamic sources cleanly
