Description
When a monitor engineer sees a Radial on the input list, they relax a little — and the ProD2 gives you two of those channels in one compact box. Built around a pair of custom Radial transformers, it takes instrument-level signal from bass, acoustic guitar, or keyboards and hands off a balanced, hum-free feed to FOH without saturating or smearing the low-mid detail that makes an instrument sound like itself. That’s the difference between a DI that just passes signal and one that preserves tone through long cable runs and busy stage grounds.
Housed in welded 14-gauge steel with internal I-beam bracing and a book-end shell, this thing shrugs off the abuse of load-in, load-out, and everything in between — no flexing PC board, no cracked switches. A -15dB pad tames hot sources before they hit the transformer, and independent ground lifts on each channel let you kill loop noise channel by channel instead of losing both at once.
- Full-range passive design, two independent channels
- Custom Radial transformers for isolation and low phase/harmonic distortion
- Isolated XLR outputs, AES pin-1 ground / pin-2 hot
- Per-channel ground lift switches
- -15dB pad for hot input sources
- 14-gauge steel welded I-beam, book-end chassis construction
- Military-spec PC board with full ground plane for RF rejection
- No-slip rubber base pad
- Baked enamel finish
A dependable pick for FOH riders, backline rigs, and studio patch bays where two clean, quiet DI channels need to just work, every time.
