Description
When house gigs mix corporate AV feeds, video playback, and consumer electronics into a pro rig, the Radial ProAV2 is the box that keeps everything clean. Unlike its mono sibling the ProAV1, the ProAV2 keeps left and right channels fully independent, delivering true two-channel stereo direct injection rather than a summed mono output — ideal for stereo program material headed to front-of-house or a recording chain.
Connectivity is built for whatever shows up in the gear bag: 1/4″ jacks for instruments and line sources, RCA and 1/8″ mini connectors for laptops, iPods, and consumer players, plus +4dB XLR I/O for professional systems. Front-panel connectors double as thru-puts, letting techs loop signal to a second destination without extra adaptors or Y-cables.
Inside, Radial’s custom-wound transformers handle hot signal levels while staying linear from 20Hz to 18.5kHz, producing a smooth Bessel-curve response that softens the edge often heard from digital sources. That same transformer isolation breaks ground loops responsible for hum, buzz, and video snow — a real concern anytime AV and audio systems share power.
- Passive, ultra-quiet stereo design with no batteries or power required
- Full independent left/right channel operation
- Handles high-transient signals without distortion
- Multi-connector ‘Swiss Army’ input array: XLR, 1/4″, RCA, 1/8″
- Eliminates ground-loop hum, buzz, and video interference
For techs running mixed-source stereo playback — CD decks, DVD players, computers, DJ mixers — the ProAV2 simplifies patching and protects signal integrity at the source, right where problems usually start.
