Description
Front-of-house engineers dread one thing on a rider: a laptop or media player patched straight into the console. The Radial JPC exists to solve that handoff cleanly, converting consumer-level stereo sources into balanced, mic-level signal that plays nice with any professional PA.
- Stereo direct box built specifically for computer sound cards, tablets, and A/V playback gear
- Hybrid design pairs transformer-isolated inputs with an active drive circuit — killing ground-loop hum while giving you the reach for long cable runs to the stage box
- Flexible I/O: 1/8″ and RCA inputs plus matching thru-put connectors, so you can loop signal to a monitor or recorder without a splitter
- 10dB pad switch dials in gain staging for hot sources; dual LEDs confirm 48V phantom is present and powering the unit, so there’s no battery to forget on a gig day
- XLR outputs deliver a properly balanced mic-level signal your console — and your patch bay — will recognize instantly
Built the way touring gear should be, the JPC wraps its PC board in 14-gauge steel I-beam construction, protecting internal solder joints from the torque and abuse of load-in/load-out. A wrap-around sleeve shields the switches and connectors, and a full-bottom no-slip pad keeps it planted on a busy stage floor while adding electrical insulation. The baked enamel finish holds up show after show.
Compact enough to J-Rak mount alongside your other DIs, the JPC is the kind of small-footprint problem-solver that belongs in every rack when a laptop, phone, or A/V deck needs to join the PA without adding noise or complication.
