Description
The Impulse 1012 gives you a rider-friendly workhorse for bands, mobile rigs, and installed systems that need serious output without a serious footprint. Rated for 1000 watts and capable of up to 133 dB SPL, this 8 ohm two-way enclosure handles full-range duty or bi-amp configurations depending on how your system is set up.
Inside the weather-resistant, high-impact polypropylene trapezoidal cabinet sits a 12″ Black Widow woofer (1208-8 SPS BWX) with a Kevlar-impregnated cone and treated surround for tight low-end control under load. Up top, an RX 22 titanium compression driver loads into a molded-in 90° x 45° constant directivity horn, so vocals and program material stay even and intelligible off-axis — useful when your coverage pattern has to satisfy both the crowd and the monitor mix. Peavey’s Sound Guard circuit protects that HF driver from the kind of transient abuse a busy night can throw at it.
Deployment is flexible: run it on the floor, drop it on a pole via the molded-in stand adapter, or fly it using the top and bottom points built into the enclosure. Signal comes in through dual parallel 1/4″ jacks for daisy-chaining a pair, plus a switchable 4-pin Neutrik Speakon for touring-grade connectivity.
