Description
The Dark Matter DM 112 puts Peavey’s DSP muscle behind a 12″ woofer and 1.4″ titanium-diaphragm DX14 compression driver, delivering 410 watts peak to the low end and 250 watts peak to the horn. That’s a genuinely capable two-way box for front-of-house fill, side monitors, or a self-contained DJ rig — no external processing or crossover required.
Coverage is where this cabinet earns its keep on stage. The Quadratic Throat Waveguide shapes a controlled 110° x 80° pattern, so vocals and top-end stay consistent whether the box is on a pole above the crowd or angled up from the floor as a monitor thanks to the dual rear-corner trapezoidal design. An LCD display and selector knob put bass/treble shaping and location-specific EQ presets right at your fingertips, and the 96kHz/24-bit, 64-bit double-precision DSP engine keeps that processing clean and low-jitter. Save your own settings to User Preset memory once you’ve dialed in a room, and recall them instantly next time.
Stage-friendly I/O includes a combo XLR/TRS balanced input with a Mic/Line gain switch and an XLR thru output for daisy-chaining additional boxes. A fan-cooled amp section, powder-coated steel grille, and rugged injection-molded enclosure mean this cabinet is built to survive load-in after load-in.
