The Electro-Voice ZXA1-Sub is designed to be the missing bottom half of a small-format ZXA1 system, pairing a 12-inch EVS-12S woofer with a 700-W Class-D amplifier inside a low-profile wood cabinet. Pair it with a set of ZXA1 tops and you get a rig that punches well above its footprint — perfect for DJs who want a tighter thump on the dancefloor, or live acts who need the mids and highs to breathe by letting the sub handle the low-frequency lifting.
With a calculated max SPL of 126 dB and a usable low-end response reaching down to 44 Hz (-10 dB), this box delivers genuine club-level output from a cabinet that’s still light enough for one person to carry to a gig. The 100 Hz crossover point and dual stereo XLR input/output pair make it straightforward to integrate into a full-range rig, and the built-in pole mount lets a satellite speaker sit right on top for a clean, cable-minimal stack.
