Built around two Electro-Voice ELX115 15″ full-range loudspeakers, this bundle is aimed at engineers and bands who need dependable coverage without hauling a truckload of gear. Each ELX115 pairs an EVS-15K 15″ woofer with a 1.5″ DH-1K titanium compression driver through a 90° x 50° waveguide, giving you wide, even horizontal spread and a max calculated SPL of 134 dB half-space — plenty of headroom for bars, ballrooms, and mid-size stages. The braced 9-ply plywood cabinets keep weight down relative to their output, and each box handles 400W continuous / 1600W peak, so there’s real dynamic range before anything compresses or breaks up.
Driving the pair is a QSC GX5 power amplifier, delivering 500 watts per channel at 8 ohms with headroom optimized for both 4 and 8 ohm loads. It’s a straightforward, rider-friendly amp: XLR, 1/4″ TRS, and RCA inputs cover any source, while Speakon combo and binding-post outputs handle whatever cabling a venue throws at you. QSC’s GuardRail circuitry watches for thermal stress and overdrive and steps in without cutting the show, and a built-in subwoofer/satellite crossover gives you flexibility if you expand the rig later. At under 26 lbs, it also won’t dominate your rack space or your back.
Two Hosa SKT-450 cables — 50 feet of 14-gauge OFC conductor with Neutrik speakon connectors on each end — complete the signal path from amp to speakers, giving you the reach to place cabinets where the room actually needs them.
