Two EKX-12P cabinets means two rigs’ worth of flexibility off one truck run. - 1500 W Class-D amplifier per box drives EV’s own EVS-12M 12″ transducer to 132 dB max SPL, so a stereo pair can genuinely cover a room without straining
- Integrated QuickSmartDSP puts Music, Live, Speech, and Club presets behind a single knob, with five user slots for storing your own tuning once you’ve dialed it in on a stage
- Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide design keeps coverage even across the audience instead of collapsing off-axis
- Onboard crossover matching for sub/top pairings and EV’s Cardioid Control Technology (when paired with compatible EKX subs) lets you steer low-end away from the stage
- Variable-speed cooling fan with multi-sensor thermal monitoring keeps output stable through long sets
- 15mm braced wood enclosure with EVCoat finish, all-metal handles, aluminum pole mount, and eight M10 rigging points for flying or ground-stacking
- I/O covers stereo RCA in, two XLR/TRS combo inputs, and an XLR link output for daisy-chaining a second box
Frequency response runs 60 Hz–18 kHz (-3 dB), crossover sits at 1.7 kHz, and each cabinet measures 24″ x 15″ x 14″ drawing 1.8 A. Whether it’s front-of-house for a small stage or the main system for a mobile DJ setup, this pair gives you room to scale into subs later without replacing the tops.
