The ZLX-15P is Electro-Voice’s answer to bands, DJs, and mobile entertainers who need serious output without hauling a truckload of gear. This is a demo unit — fully functional, previously used for demonstration purposes, and priced accordingly.
At its core sits a 15″ EVS-15L woofer paired with a 1.5″ DH-1K titanium compression driver, driven by a 1000W Class D amplifier capable of pushing 127 dB max SPL. That’s enough headroom for the speaker to work as a standalone full-range box on a small stage, or to hold its own on top of a sub in a larger room, reproducing a frequency range from 42 Hz up to 20 kHz.
Coverage is set at 90° horizontal by 60° vertical, giving you a predictable, even throw across a dance floor, conference room, or house of worship without excessive spill into unwanted areas. Inputs include two combo XLR/TRS jacks plus a 3.5mm aux in, with an XLR link output for daisy-chaining a second cabinet — handy for quick stereo pairs or simple monitor sends.
Build quality reflects EV’s touring pedigree: a rugged polypropylene enclosure protected by an 18-gauge steel grille with black powder coat, weighing in at 38 lbs for load-in that one person can still manage.
