Description
The EKX-12P brings Electro-Voice’s touring pedigree down to a size that fits mobile DJs, bar bands, and house-of-worship techs who need serious output without a truck full of amps. Under the hood sits a 1500W Class-D engine paired with an EVS-12M 12-inch woofer, crossing over to the HF section at 1.7 kHz for a clean, cohesive top end that stays intelligible even when you’re pushing it hard.
QuickSmartDSP is the real time-saver here: a single knob and LCD menu let you dial in Music, Live, Speech, or Club voicing on the fly, store up to five of your own presets, and keep an eye on limiter status so you’re not guessing at gain structure between sets. Whether it’s on a pole for front-of-house fill or paired with a matching sub for a scalable stereo rig, the EKX-12P holds a consistent pattern thanks to EV’s Signal Synchronized Transducer waveguide, so side-fill and off-axis listeners aren’t getting shortchanged.
Build quality carries over EV’s usual overkill: 15mm braced wood cabinet, EVCoat finish, all-metal handles, and eight M10 mounting points for flying or pole-mounting. Forced-air cooling with sensor-driven fan speed keeps it running through long sets without thermal fade.
