Description
The Electro-Voice CPS 2.4 MK II is a rack-friendly workhorse built for installers and touring engineers who need dependable power without sacrificing rack space. At just 2 rack units, it delivers 2 x 400 watts at 4 ohms (20-20 kHz, THD<0.2%), with headroom up to 2 x 650 watts into 2 ohms for demanding continuous-power applications. Class-AB circuitry keeps performance stable across long show days, while a three-stage front-to-rear fan system manages heat without becoming a stage-side distraction.
Phoenix-type connectors handle both inputs and outputs, giving techs quick, secure hookups on load-in and load-out, and rear-panel attenuators let you dial in gain staging on the fly. A switchable 50 Hz high-pass filter helps protect drivers from unnecessary low-end strain, and remote contact closures allow for convenient power-on/off control from a distance — handy for racks buried in a truss or tucked behind FOH.
For installed sound contractors, a programmable power-on delay avoids inrush issues when bringing a full rack online, and an open module slot accepts the optional RCM-810 card for IRIS-Net networked diagnostics and control — useful for multi-zone systems where remote monitoring saves a trip up the ladder.
