Description
When you’re squaring off a system EQ or chasing down a room mode, you need a mic that tells the truth across the whole band — that’s the job of the Earthworks M-30. This omnidirectional reference microphone is built for accuracy in both the frequency and time domains, so the impulse response you capture is as clean as the amplitude response is flat. It’s remarkably stable across temperature and humidity swings, which matters when you’re running measurements load-in after load-in, festival stage after festival stage.
The M-30 is a fixture in the SIM/SMAART world and works just as well with MLSSA, Spectrafoo, TEF, RTA, and measurement platforms from dbx and DEQX. It meets or exceeds ANSI Type 1 and IEC 61094 requirements, giving you a mic that engineers and consultants can trust for loudspeaker QC, sound system alignment, room acoustics work, or any free-field measurement task. Every unit ships with its own individual calibration chart, documenting open-circuit sensitivity and frequency response.
