The 9-inch (22cm) gooseneck lets you position the electret condenser capsule right where you need it, while the unidirectional pattern keeps ambient noise from bleeding into the line — side and rear rejection exceeds 6 dB across the 100 Hz to 10 kHz range, which covers the core of spoken communication.
Termination is handled by a gold-plated, threaded, locking 3-conductor quarter-inch phone plug, so the connection stays secure through long show days and repeated cabling changes without working loose. A fitted windscreen ships with the mic to cut breath noise and plosives from close-talking operators.
