Description
For location sound, ENG work, and video production, this Audio-Technica stereo shotgun microphone packs two independent condenser elements—a line-cardioid and a figure-of-eight—into one compact, lightweight body designed to ride on top of a camera without adding bulk or throwing off balance.
Because the two capsules operate independently, you get real flexibility in how you capture a scene. A switch lets you choose non-matrixed M-S mode for maximum post-production control, or one of two internally-matrixed left/right stereo modes when you need a ready-to-use stereo signal straight out of the mic. A switchable low-frequency roll-off is on hand too, useful for taming handling noise, wind rumble, or proximity buildup when you’re working handheld or on a boom.
Connectivity is handled via the included 0.61 m (24″) cable, running from a 5-pin XLRF connector on the mic down to two standard 3-pin XLRM connectors—so it drops straight into typical dual-channel mixer or camera inputs without adapters.
