Description
When you need a DI box that can handle whatever gets patched into it on a gig, the ART Xdirect earns its spot in the rack. Its high-impedance 1/4″ and XLR inputs pass through low-noise active buffering to deliver an isolated, low-impedance balanced signal that stays clean and neutral even over long cable runs into noisy stage boxes or snakes.
- Switchable input attenuation (0dB, -20dB, -40dB) handles everything from a passive bass to a hot line-level synth
- Input Link jack lets you tap the signal chain without breaking your rig
- Ground Lift switch isolates input and output grounds to kill hum and ground loops on the fly
- Switchable low-pass Bessel filter (-3dB @ 30kHz) knocks down RF interference and DAW-related digital noise before it hits the mix
- Phase Invert switch flips polarity right at the source — handy when blending a direct feed with a mic on the same source
Power flexibility is built in: run it off an internal 9V battery (rated for 250+ hours at 3.5mA draw) or let it pull automatically from 18-48VDC phantom power. The indicator light glows dim on battery, bright on phantom, so you always know your power state at a glance.
Housed in a compact black anodized aluminum chassis, the Xdirect is built for the realities of touring, fixed install, and DJ setups where reliability matters as much as sound quality. With a frequency response of 10Hz-100kHz (+/-.5dB @ 0dBu), THD under .05%, and dynamic range over 100dB, it stays transparent under pressure — a genuinely capable DI for front-of-house engineers who need one less thing to worry about.
