Description
When you need a compact way to combine multiple sources into a stereo feed without hauling a full console, the ART MX821s earns its 1U of rack space. Each of its eight channels accepts either a balanced XLR mic input or an unbalanced 1/4-inch TS line input, with its own level and pan control so you can place any source anywhere across the stereo field. Individually switchable +48V phantom power means condenser mics and dynamics can share the same rack without compromise.
A master level control governs the balanced 1/4-inch TRS main outputs, while dedicated prefade outputs and Aux Bus RCA inputs let you chain multiple MX821s units together when a gig or install calls for more than eight channels. Internal jumpers even let you repurpose any line input jack as a direct line output, adding flexibility for split feeds or monitor sends.
Built with a steel 1U chassis and an internal power supply, the MX821s is at home on stage, in a studio signal chain, or wired permanently into a conference room, house of worship, restaurant, health club, or small venue. It’s the kind of unglamorous workhorse that quietly handles submixing duties so your main console stays uncluttered.
