When you just need clean channel count without hauling a full console, the ART MX821s earns its 1U of rack space. Eight independent input channels — each accepting balanced XLR mic or unbalanced 1/4-inch TS line signals — combine into a stereo bus, with individual level and pan controls letting you place every source anywhere across the stereo image.
Phantom power is switchable per mic channel, so dynamic and condenser sources can share the same rack without compromise. A master control governs the balanced 1/4-inch TRS main outputs, while separate prefade outputs and Aux Bus inputs let you daisy-chain multiple MX821s units together when a gig or install calls for more than eight inputs. Internal jumpers can also convert individual line inputs into direct line outputs, adding routing flexibility for split feeds or monitor sends.
Because it’s self-contained with a built-in power supply, the MX821s slots easily into stage racks, monitor world, or fixed installs — conference rooms, houses of worship, restaurants, clubs, and health clubs all benefit from its no-fuss, single-rack-space footprint and dependable long-term operation.
