Description
Re-amping is how top engineers turn a flat DI track into a roaring guitar amp performance after the fact, and the Radial ProRMP is a purpose-built tool for exactly that. It’s 100% passive, so there’s no coloration from active electronics — just clean impedance conversion and a custom wound transformer doing the heavy lifting. Feed it a pre-recorded guitar, bass, keys, percussion, or vocal track and send it back through an amp or pedal chain to sculpt fresh textures without re-tracking a single note.
Hook-up is straightforward: run the balanced low-z signal from your recorder into the ProRMP’s XLR input, and it converts to a hi-z quarter-inch output your amp expects, with level adjustment to dial in the drive. That same transformer also isolates the circuit electrically, which means ground loops, buzz, and hum stay out of the signal path — a real concern when you’re routing between a DAW and a guitar amp on stage or in the control room.
Build quality follows Radial’s usual playbook: a 14 gauge steel book-end chassis with a welded I-beam frame keeps the PC board and solder joints from taking stress, and a full-bottom no-slip pad both anchors the unit and prevents contact with amp chassis bolts that could otherwise introduce ground loops.
