Description
Front-of-house engineers love a clean, consistent bass signal, and the Radial Bassbone V2 is built to deliver exactly that. This second-generation preamp/DI carries forward the same acclaimed circuit that made the original a favorite among top-tier players including Marcus Miller, John Patitucci, Rhonda Smith, and Victor Wooten — now with expanded flexibility for stage and studio work.
At its core, the Bassbone V2 is a two-input command center for bass players running one or two instruments. A footswitch lets you flip between channels instantly, each with independent level control and a passive-interactive EQ potent enough to reshape a P-Bass into something resembling a Rickenbacker tone — all without touching your amp. A dedicated PZB booster circuit adds support for piezo pickups, useful for upright players doubling on electric.
Beyond tone-shaping, the unit offers a footswitchable power boost (great for solos, or reassign it as a mute for silent on-stage tuning) and a third footswitch for an onboard effects loop with wet/dry blend, so your pedals color the tone without swallowing your original signal. Effects can be routed to one channel or both.
Once shaped, your signal heads to your stage amp, tuner, and FOH simultaneously via the built-in Radial DI with low-impedance balanced output — a rider-friendly feature that keeps mix engineers happy and your tone intact from stage to console.
