Description
Riders love a limiter that stays out of the way until it’s needed, and that’s exactly what ART built into the Dual Limiter. At its core sits a PWM gain-control circuit paired with a smart detector, giving you a transparent, musical clamp on peaks whether you’re tracking in the studio or riding gain on a PA at FOH. It was voiced with input from working studio and live-sound engineers, so the compression character stays natural even under heavy limiting.
- Two independent channels of dynamics processing, with selectable stereo link for matched-gain mastering or mix-bus duties
- XLR balanced I/O plus 1/4″ TRS active balanced I/O for flexible patching into any rig
- Variable Attack (0.5ms–50ms) and Release (100ms–3 sec) controls to dial in everything from drum-bus punch to broadband PA protection
- Switchable Slope (4:1 or >20:1, with 2:1/1.5:1 available via detector-loop patching) for anything from gentle leveling to brick-wall limiting
- Hardwire bypass and a 5-segment Gain Reduction LED array for quick visual confirmation of what’s happening to your signal
- Internal power supply, no external brick to lose or fry
Under the hood, the specs back up the musicality: better than 105dB dynamic range, frequency response flat to within 1dB from 10Hz–30kHz, and headroom out to +20dBu in and out. That’s plenty of clean gain and low noise for protecting horns and subs on tour or keeping a mix bus honest in the control room. At 1.75″ high and under 5lbs, it drops into a single rack space on any tour rack or house rig, backed by ART’s 3-year parts-and-labor warranty.
