Description
When a single show needs to feed FOH, monitor world, and a broadcast or multitrack recording rig simultaneously, the ART S8-3Way handles the routing without adding noise, hum loops, or signal degradation to any destination. Each of its eight channels accepts one balanced XLR mic or line input and delivers three independent balanced XLR outputs: a direct pass-through plus two transformer-isolated feeds, so every mix position gets a clean, ground-free copy of the source.
Built around the same high-quality transformers found in ART’s respected S8 splitter, this unit is fully passive — no power supply to fail mid-set, no active circuitry to color the tone. That passive design also gives it an extremely wide frequency response and very low insertion loss, so your signal stays true from stage to snake to console.
A common setup: run eight channels of direct outs to the FOH desk, send the same eight direct signals to a monitor console, and route the isolated transformer outputs to a remote recording rig or a broadcast truck — all from the same stage box, all galvanically isolated from each other to keep grounding issues out of the equation.
Housed in a rugged 1U steel rack chassis with reversible rack ears, the S8-3Way fits into any rig configuration and is built for the long haul of touring, fixed installs, or studio patch bays.
