Description
The Radial X-Amp gives engineers a practical way to separate performance from tone-shaping. Record a clean, dry signal through a quality direct box during the session, then run that track back through the X-Amp into one or two guitar amplifiers or effects pedals — whenever you like, with no player needed on hand. It’s a workflow that saves session time and avoids the fatigue of endless re-takes, while opening the door to layered, experimental tones built after the fact.
Built on Class-A circuitry derived from Radial’s JD7 Injector, the X-Amp is voiced specifically for guitar signal, preserving reach and frequency detail as it drives two amps simultaneously. That dual-output capability means you can blend two amp characters, run parallel effects chains, or capture alternate takes side by side — all from a single source track, giving producers more creative latitude as a mix takes shape.
- Balanced line-level input with LED peak/overload indicator and variable level control
- 100% Class-A signal path optimized for guitar tone
- Two direct, isolated amplifier outputs for driving amps or pedals in parallel
- 180° polarity reverse switch to keep both amps in phase
- Dual ground lift switches to eliminate hum and ground loops
True to Radial’s build philosophy, the X-Amp is constructed around a welded I-beam chassis that shields the internal PC board from mechanical stress, wrapped in a bookend-style outer shell that guards the controls and connectors. A full-coverage no-slip base pad keeps it planted on a rattling amp cabinet while providing extra mechanical and electrical isolation — the kind of road-ready durability studios and touring rigs rely on.
