Description
Multi-truck shows, broadcast feeds, and monitor consoles all want their own clean copy of the same signal – the Radial JS3 makes that a non-issue. This passive splitter takes one balanced mic-level input and delivers a direct out plus two fully isolated outputs, so FOH, monitors, and a recording or broadcast split can all run off a single microphone without fighting each other for signal integrity.
At the heart of the JS3 sits a Jensen transformer built on a nickel-laminated core, chosen specifically to avoid the phase shift and harmonic distortion that cheaper steel-core transformers introduce. Because the isolated outputs are true transformer splits rather than active buffers, you get better than -90dB common-mode rejection – which in plain terms means hum, buzz, and ground-loop noise from long multi-cable runs simply don’t make it through. A -30dB pad is on board too, so line-level or consumer gear can be patched in without saturating the input.
Build quality matches the job: 14-gauge steel with a book-end chassis design shields the switches and connectors from stage-and-truck abuse, while a welded internal I-beam skeleton locks the PC board in place. That monocoque structure keeps the board from ever torquing under road stress, which is what quietly kills solder joints on lesser splitters over a tour. When you need to scale a split-rig for a full backline, up to 8 JS3 units mount into a Radial J-Rack, fitting an entire vertical array into just two rack spaces.

- Jensen transformer for accurate, low-distortion sound
- 1 direct out plus 2 isolated outputs
- Handles both mic and line-level signals
- Rack-mountable via Radial J-Rack (up to 8 units, 2RU)
- Rugged 14-gauge steel, monocoque internal construction
