Description
Escort 5000 packs a full 8-channel PA into one wheeled case, built for the gig where setup time and van space are both tight. It’s a two-way system putting out 500 watts total (250 x 2) through 10″ woofers, giving you enough clean SPL for classrooms, sanctuaries, coffeehouse sets, or a DJ’s Saturday night without hauling separate mixer, amp, and speaker cases.
Front-of-house control is handled by 8 channels with 7 combo XLR/1/4″ inputs plus RCA and 3.5mm TRS media jacks, so vocal mics, instruments, and a laptop or phone can all get on stage at once. A 7-band graphic EQ, monitor send, and subwoofer output give you the shaping tools a rider might ask for, while onboard digital multi-effects and USB MP3 playback (with LCD readout) let a small group or solo act run backing tracks or reverb without an outboard rack.
Peavey built in two feedback-fighting tools most portable rigs skip: the patented FLS (Feedback Locating System) to flag problem frequencies fast, and Midmorph technology to keep tone consistent as you dial things in. That matters when you’re mixing on the fly in an unfamiliar room.
Everything travels in a wheeled carrying case with luggage-style handling and room left over for mics, cables, or other accessories. Included in the package:
- Two folding speaker stands
- Two 15′ speaker cables
- Rubberized control knobs for reliable feel over years of use
Unpacked weight is 50.26 lb; packed weight is 61.31 lb, with a packed footprint of 17.716″ W x 39.764″ H x 16.929″ D — sized to roll through a side door, not require a loading dock.
