Built through a joint effort between the Jensen factory and Fender, the P10RF was purpose-made for the reissue Fender ’57 Bandmaster and the 20th Anniversary Vibro King. Rather than replicate a brand-new P10R tone, Jensen engineers targeted the sound of a speaker that’s already been played hard for years – the kind of broken-in warmth touring backlines and studio rigs tend to develop naturally over time.
This 10″ Alnico driver is rated at 25 watts and 8 ohms, making it a straightforward drop-in for combo amps and cabinets spec’d for that impedance and power range. Tonally, expect a smooth, rounded top end paired with a full-bodied low end – the kind of balance that lets a rig sit comfortably in a mix without harsh edges. It also breaks up earlier than a stock P10R, so players chasing natural tube-amp grit at moderate stage volumes get there sooner, without cranking past a rider-friendly volume level.
Despite the softened, worn-in character, the P10RF retains the vintage voice that made the original P10R a go-to for classic Fender tones – useful for anyone maintaining a specific backline sound across venues or building a scalable amp collection where consistent, familiar tonality matters.
