Description
The Heil PR35 pairs a rugged matte-black rubberized body with the large 1.5″ shock-mounted hum-bucking voice-coil found in the PR30, so handling noise and stray electronic interference stay out of the signal path. Off-axis rejection is strong, with -35 dB of attenuation at 180 degrees, making it a dependable choice for busy stages where monitor bleed and adjacent instruments can otherwise creep into the vocal channel.
Tonally, the PR35 leans into a natural upper mid-range with a smooth, flat overall response, giving vocalists articulation without harshness. A built-in two-position low-cut roll off switch lets you dial out proximity-driven low-end buildup before it turns into feedback, which is especially useful on wedge-heavy stages or tight monitor mixes. With a max SPL of 140 dB, it holds up in front of loud sources without breaking up.
While it’s designed as a handheld vocal mic, the PR35’s flat response and off-axis control make it just as capable on guitar cabinets, drums, and other instrument sources, or mounted on a broadcast boom. It’s a genuine multi-purpose workhorse for touring rigs, houses of worship, and studios alike.
Each PR35 ships with three interchangeable trim rings (black, silver, and purple), a mic clip, a black acoustical wind screen, and a padded leatherette carrying case. Heil Sound backs it with a three-year parts and ninety-day labor warranty.
