Description
The Heil Sound PR 35 takes the celebrated PR 30 element and refines it further, wrapping it in a sorbothane shock mount for stability under stage vibration and handling noise. It’s a mic engineered for anyone who needs commercial-broadcast polish alongside the durability required for live sound reinforcement and recording sessions.
- Large 1 1/2″ aluminum low-mass voice coil paired with a specialized magnet structure for detailed, accurate reproduction across a 40 Hz–18 kHz response
- Hum-bucking coil placement lets the PR 35 sit close to video monitors and broadcast equipment without picking up hum or buzz
- Precision phasing-plug ports capture rear-of-source audio out of phase, producing a tight, linear cardioid pattern that keeps proximity effect in check and articulation crisp
- Rejection is strongest at 180 degrees off axis, with minimal off-axis coloration for cleaner gain-before-feedback on stage and less bleed in the booth
- Handles extreme SPL without overload, staying composed on loud sources, amp cabs, and horn-heavy stages
- Runs with no phantom or DC power required, simplifying rider requirements and rig setup
- Three-position roll-off switch: flat, approximately -3 dB, or approximately -6 dB, for quick tonal shaping without an outboard EQ
The PR 35 ships with a mic clip that fits any 5/8″-27 thread and a leatherette carrying case for transport between gigs and sessions. Amateur radio operators will need a CC-1 XLR cable to connect the PR 35 to a transceiver.
