Description
The Fin brings a retro-inspired look to modern live sound, wrapped in deep-chrome plating that catches the light on stage. Behind that vintage aesthetic sits a genuinely capable dynamic capsule: a neodymium, boron and iron magnet paired with a large 1-1/18″ aluminum low-mass voice coil, tuned for a natural, clear vocal reproduction with solid mid-range presence and extended frequency response.
For front-of-house engineers, The Fin’s tight cardioid pattern is the real workhorse feature — it rejects off-axis bleed and helps keep monitor wedges from turning into a feedback fight, making it a practical choice for vocal-heavy stages, broadcast booths, and studio tracking alike. A windscreen is built into the grille itself, so there’s one less accessory to chase down before a set.
Then there’s the showpiece: four red LEDs mounted inside the capsule housing, illuminating The Fin from within during performances, livestreams, and photo ops. Just note that phantom power (+48V) is required to run the lights — the mic itself operates as a standard dynamic without it.
