Description
Built on the celebrated PR 30 capsule, the Heil Sound PR35 delivers a smooth, flat response across a wide 40 Hz–18 kHz range, making it equally at home on a live stage, in a broadcast booth, or behind a studio mic. A large 1½” low-mass aluminum voice coil and specialized magnet structure give this dynamic capsule the headroom to handle extreme SPL without breaking up, so front-of-house engineers and touring vocalists can push it hard without worrying about overload.
A precisely tuned hum-bucking coil keeps the PR35 quiet even parked next to video monitors and stage lighting rigs — a real advantage for broadcast and rider-conscious live applications. The phasing plug assembly, with symmetrically placed rear ports, produces a tight, linear cardioid pattern that minimizes proximity effect and rejects off-axis noise at 180 degrees, keeping vocals articulate and free of coloration even in busy mix environments. A three-position roll-off switch (flat, -3 dB, -6 dB) gives engineers quick tonal control to match room acoustics or vocal characteristics without reaching for EQ.
Because it’s a passive dynamic design, the PR35 needs no phantom power, simplifying signal chains for touring rigs, houses of worship, and broadcast setups alike. This bundle rounds out the package with a 20′ XLR cable and a telescoping boom stand, so you’re ready to mount, plug in, and go — no separate stand or cable order required.
- Included: PR35 mic, mic clip (fits 5/8″-27 thread), leatherette carrying case, 20′ XLR cable, telescoping boom stand
- Amateur radio users: a CC-1 XLR cable is required to interface with a transceiver
