Description
Built around the same acclaimed capsule found in the PR 30, the Heil Sound PR35 adds a shock mount and refined magnet structure to deliver a smooth, wide-bandwidth response engineers can rely on for broadcast, tracking, and stage work alike. A large 1 1/2″ aluminum voice coil keeps mass low and transient response quick, while a purpose-wound hum-bucking coil lets you work right next to video monitors and lighting rigs without picking up buzz.
Front-of-house techs will appreciate the true cardioid pickup: a symmetrical phasing plug samples rear-arriving sound and cancels it out of phase, producing a tight, linear polar pattern with rejection concentrated at 180 degrees off-axis. That translates to fewer feedback issues on loud stages and reduced proximity effect without sacrificing articulation across the mic’s 40 Hz-18 kHz range. The Heil element also shrugs off high SPL sources, staying clean under pressure with no phantom or DC power required — one less thing for the rider to specify.
Need to tame boominess on a hot stage or a boomy voice? An internal low-frequency filter, switchable with a small screwdriver or paperclip, rolls off response at 80 Hz (-6 dB/octave) when engaged, or opens back up to the full 40 Hz-18 kHz range when disengaged.
Each PR35 ships with a mic clip fitting standard 5/8″-27 threads and a leatherette carrying case — and this listing includes a free 20′ XLR cable so you can get it on the stand and into the console right away. Amateur radio operators will need a CC-1 XLR cable to interface with a transceiver.
