Description
The Electro-Voice P1201 is a single-channel amplifier from the P-Amps modular platform, engineered so touring crews and fixed installers alike can configure exactly the signal path they need. Because input, output, and filter/processing modules are all swappable, this amp adapts to whatever connectivity or processing standard your rig demands today – and can be reconfigured as those standards evolve, protecting your investment as systems get upgraded.
On the power side, the P1201 delivers 1200W into 4 ohms at 1kHz midband (THD = 1%), with 750W available at 8 ohms and 1600W at 2 ohms for matching against whatever load your cabinets present. Rated output at THD under 0.2% across 20Hz-20kHz sits at 500W (8Ω) / 1000W (4Ω), and dynamic headroom under IHF-A conditions pushes single-channel output up to 850/1450/1700W depending on impedance – useful margin for transient-heavy program material without tripping into audible distortion.
Damping factor exceeds 300 at 100Hz and 200 at 1kHz (8Ω), giving tight low-end control over your subs, while a frequency response of 13Hz-45kHz (-1dB) and THD below 0.05% at rated output keep the signal clean end to end. A full protection suite – audio limiters, high-temp, DC, HF, back-EMF, peak and inrush current limiting, plus turn-on delay – guards both the amp and your drivers through long production days.
