Description
Monitor mix complaints kill momentum during soundcheck and shows. The Behringer P16-M solves that by handing each musician or vocalist a personal 16-channel digital mixer, so they can build their own blend of vocals, instruments, and clicks without ever touching your main console.
- 16 independent input channels with individual Level, Pan/Spread, and 3-band EQ (mid-band frequency sweep included)
- 16 Channel Select buttons with dual LEDs, plus per-channel Solo and Mute for quick troubleshooting on stage
- 16 storable presets so bands or worship teams can recall custom mixes instantly at the next rehearsal or gig
- 24-bit D/A conversion for clean, audiophile-grade sound at the ears
- High-power, adjustable-limiter headphone output built to survive drummers and other heavy-handed users
- Additional mono/stereo line out for feeding a powered stage monitor
- MIDI IN for remote channel control from devices like the BEHRINGER BCF2000 or BCR2000
Under the hood, the P16-M runs on ULTRANET, the digital protocol jointly developed by KLARK TEKNIK, MIDAS, TURBOSOUND, and BEHRINGER. A single CAT5e cable carries 16 channels of 24-bit audio plus control data and power, cutting out RFI, crosstalk, and stacks of analog snake cable. System latency stays under 1ms, so performers never feel a lag between playing and hearing.
Scaling up is straightforward: start with a P16-I Input Module feeding up to six P16-M units for a small band or studio, then expand with up to six P16-D Distributors to grow the rig to forty-eight personal mixers for larger stages and worship teams. An external power supply is included, and the optional P16-MB bracket (sold separately) mounts each unit on a standard mic, music, or drum stand. Backed by a 3-year warranty and engineered in Germany.
