Description
Built for engineers who need consistent coverage across large or acoustically tricky rooms, the EVID-6.2 pairs two 6″ low-frequency drivers with a 1″ titanium-diaphragm compression driver loaded onto EV’s Coherent Coverage Waveguide. That waveguide keeps HF dispersion smooth and predictable at 100° horizontal by 80° vertical, so front rows and back walls hear the same mix without hot spots or comb-filtering artifacts common in cheaper two-way boxes.
- Two-way, high-output full-range design with a vented LF enclosure for extended low end
- 94 dB sensitivity and a calculated max SPL of 122 dB at 1m — enough headroom for speech reinforcement or light music duty
- 1″ voice coil with titanium diaphragm and neodymium magnet structure for clean high-frequency detail
- Full-bandwidth overload protection guards both HF and LF sections from clipping and abuse
- Magnetically shielded chassis, safe near video walls and monitors
- Compact three-dimensional ellipse cabinet keeps the visual footprint small in finished spaces
Rigging is handled by the included Strong-Arm-Mount (SAM) system and hex key, giving installers a flexible, tool-light way to angle and secure the cabinet to walls, ceilings, or trussing, with a rear safety point and suspension insert for added peace of mind. Frequency response runs 62 Hz–20 kHz (-10 dB), nominal impedance is 8 ohms (6 ohm minimum), and system power handling is rated at 150 watts. Each enclosure measures 16.5″ x 8.98″ x 11.73″ and weighs 11.68 lbs. This listing is for a black pair, well suited to houses of worship, commercial sound, and life-safety installs where dependable coverage matters more than flash.
