The EVID-3.2 proves you don’t need a big box to get clean, consistent sound across a room. Electro-Voice packed dual 3.5″ low-frequency drivers alongside a 0.75″ titanium-diaphragm tweeter with a Neodymium magnet structure into a compact, three-dimensional ellipse enclosure that stays visually out of the way while still throwing sound where you need it. With a wide 140° horizontal by 100° vertical dispersion pattern, these speakers cover more floor area per box, which is exactly what you want for background music, paging, and general reinforcement in houses of worship, retail spaces, and commercial venues.
Sensitivity sits at 87 dB (1W/1m), with a calculated max SPL of 112 dB at 1 meter, and frequency response runs 85 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) — plenty of headroom for speech clarity and background program material without straining the drivers. Full-bandwidth overload protection on both the HF and LF sections helps guard against accidental abuse, and the vented LF enclosure keeps low-end response tighter than the small footprint suggests.
Rigging is straightforward: each pair arrives ready to mount using the included Strong Arm Mount (SAM™) and hex key, with a suspension insert built into the mount and a rear safety point for secure, code-conscious installs. The cabinets are also magnetically shielded, so they play nicely near video displays and monitors.
