Description
Most powered speakers force you to work around a fixed dispersion pattern. The Bose F1 Model 812 flips that logic: its eight mid/high drivers sit on a flexible baffle you physically bend into one of four shapes — Straight, J, Reverse J, or C — to steer vertical coverage toward the crowd in front of you, whether they’re standing at floor level, seated on a raked incline, or filling bleacher seats. Reposition the array and the F1’s onboard processing automatically re-EQs itself to keep tonal balance consistent, so you’re not chasing frequency response every time you adjust throw.
Backing the line array is a 12-inch low-frequency driver delivering real low-end punch, powered by a 1000 W amplifier module built into the enclosure. A 2-channel mixer up top accepts XLR, 1/4-inch TS/TRS, and RCA inputs with independent level control, making it easy to run as a standalone rig for a duo, a monitor, or a fill speaker in a larger PA setup — no outboard mixer required for smaller shows.
Key specs:
- Frequency response (-3 dB): 52 Hz – 15.5 kHz
- Max SPL @ 1m: 132 dB peak
- Nominal dispersion: 100° H x 40° V (C-position)
- Crossover: 600 Hz, acoustic 4th-order Butterworth
- Weight: 44.5 lbs; universal 100-240V power supply
For engineers who need one box that adapts to the room instead of the other way around, the F1 812 earns its place in a scalable, rider-friendly rig.
