Description
The ELX112 is Electro-Voice’s compact answer to bands and mobile DJs who need serious throw without hauling a monster box. Behind its steel grille sits a 12″ EVS-12K woofer and a 1.5″ DH-1K titanium compression driver, crossed over at 2.1 kHz for a clean handoff between lows and highs. Passive at 8 ohms nominal, it takes 250W continuous / 1000W peak, so it scales easily from a small bar to a mid-size stage when paired with the right amp.
- 90° x 50° horn coverage keeps the mix consistent across a room or in front of a monitor wedge position
- 94 dB sensitivity and 132 dB calculated max SPL/1m give it real headroom for loud rooms and front-of-house duty
- Usable range spans 55 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), with a recommended 45 Hz high-pass for subwoofer-paired systems
- 9-ply, 15mm braced plywood cabinet with textured paint absorbs the bumps of transport and repeated load-in
- Dual NL4 connectors and pole-mount compatibility make it a straightforward add to an existing rig, and it stacks cleanly atop Live X subwoofers for a scalable ground-stack PA
Whether it’s running as a main for a small venue, filling in as a monitor at the lip of the stage, or riding on top of a sub for a quick festival-style stack, the ELX112 is built to be the workhorse box that shows up and does the job without drama. At 15.8 kg it’s manageable for one person to move, yet the cabinet and hardware feel like they belong on a bigger tour.
