The EKX-18S brings genuine low-frequency muscle to any reinforcement rig, pairing an EV-designed EVS-18C 18″ driver with a braced, 15mm plywood enclosure to push 134 dB peak SPL from a single box. Rated at 400W continuous / 1600W peak into 8Ω, it’s built to anchor the bottom end for club systems, mobile DJ setups, and touring packages that need punch without excess bulk.
Positioned in the EV lineup above ZLX and ELX, and just below the ETX series, the EKX-18S slots neatly into rigs that have outgrown entry-level boxes but don’t need flagship touring hardware. A large slot port keeps distortion low while extending bass response, and dual metal grille reinforcement bars protect the driver during load-in, load-out, and everything in between.
