The EKX-15 brings Electro-Voice’s engineering pedigree down to an accessible, road-ready package. Built around a 15-inch EVS-15M woofer and a 1-inch DH-1M titanium compression driver, this passive two-way handles 400W continuous / 1600W peak and pushes up to 132 dB of peak SPL — plenty of headroom for a DJ set, a mid-size stage monitor position, or a fill box in a permanent install.
EV’s patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide keeps the 90° x 60° dispersion pattern consistent across the band, so vocals and top-end stay even from the front rows back to the mix position. Tip it on its side and the 40° monitor angle with rubber feet turns it into a floor wedge without extra hardware.
The cabinet itself is 15mm braced plywood finished in EV’s durable EVCoat coating, protected by an 18 AWG steel grille with a reinforcement bar. Eight M10 threaded points give you rigging flexibility, an aluminum pole mount lets it sit atop a sub, and all-metal handles make load-in a lot less painful for a box this size.
