Description
When a rig needs to send program audio to multiple amplifier zones without sacrificing signal integrity, the ART MX225 handles the routing. This single-rack-space unit takes two balanced stereo (or mono) sources and internally distributes them to five independent output zones, giving each zone its own blend of Source 1 and Source 2 at whatever level the room calls for.
Every zone channel includes its own stereo/mono selector — engage it and the left/right signal sums to mono, with an LED confirming the switch. Five-segment LED metering per zone (-25, -20, -15, -10, Clip) keeps signal presence visible at a glance, while dedicated Source 1 and Source 2 indicators confirm input activity before you even touch a fader. All inputs and outputs run fully balanced on XLR connectors for clean, noise-resistant runs to amp racks or powered boxes scattered across a venue.
- Two balanced stereo Source inputs (XLR-F x4), routed to all five zones
- Five Zone outputs, each with independent Source 1/2 level control and balanced XLR L/R (XLR-M x10)
- Per-zone stereo/mono summing with mono indicator LED
- Five-LED metering per zone plus Source 1/2 signal LEDs
- 47k Ohm input impedance, 200 Ohm output impedance
- Max input +20dBu, max output +24dBu balanced, max gain +6dB
- S/N ratio >90dB typical, THD .05% typical
- Internal power supply, 105-125 VAC / 50-60Hz, ~15W
- 1.75″H x 19″W x 7.25″D, 5.34 lbs
Whether you’re tying together zone amps in a house of worship, restaurant, or multi-room venue install, the MX225 gives sound techs a rider-friendly way to manage separate levels per area without duplicating console outputs or adding extra DSP.
