Description
When feedback threatens to shut down a show, the ART HQ231 gives engineers the surgical control needed to keep gain structure clean and rooms sounding musical. This dual-channel 31-band graphic EQ was purpose-built for high-risk feedback zones—monitor wedges, side-fill cabinets, and hard-driven front-of-house systems—where every dB of headroom matters.
At its core is ART’s proprietary FDC (Feedback Detection Circuit) paired with constant-Q filtering, holding center frequency accuracy to within 3% so cuts stay precise instead of smearing adjacent bands. Touring crews and installers get the connectivity and reliability features they expect: active balanced plus unbalanced I/O, RFI filtering, a passive bypass switch, and a relay bypass that keeps signal flowing even if power drops mid-show.
Each channel runs independently, with its own variable Hi Pass and Low Pass filters, input level control, clip indicator, and LED output metering, so you can dial in coverage-specific tuning for mains versus monitors without compromise. Center-detented sliders (switchable between 6dB and 12dB range) make recall fast between soundchecks.
